Canbury Gardens runs along the south side of the river Thames from just north of the town centre towards Ham. It is used for meeting, running, dog walking, picnics and during the summer Sunday afternoons are enhanced by a series of concerts at the Victorian bandstand that was refurbished in 2022. For sports lover there are tennis courts, a Multi use games area (MUGA) for football and basket ball, a rowing club and an outdoor gym.
