This park is an unsuspecting green space on an otherwise busy London road. It used to be the site of Victorian housing, until it was condemned as slum housing in the Charles Booth Poverty map, and the homes were subsequently demolished. It has been a bare site since and regularly suffered from littering and vandalism. Residents from two community groups worked together to apply for funding to transform it into a biodiverse and sustainable green space for the whole community to enjoy.
