London Plan Designated Open Space. A 60 year old green oasis in what is becoming a neighbourhood mass of towering grey concrete and steel. With this woodland wealth locals can still enjoy the seasons, and a great green space with modern drainage pitch for playing a wide variety of sports. Local people live mostly car-free housed (even 4 bedroom flats in the sky) without gardens at high density in what in 2022 is Local Plan re-designated a Tall Building Zone. An excellent example of a public park created and located precisely where a public park is London most needed. Council Local Plan policy is to enhance and expand the size of this park, while car-free housing zoned enables a high quality active travel network of green and cycle routes neighbourhood plan being funded and supported.
