Facilities

The Scrubs is a mixture of wilderness, often described as ""more wild than tamed"", sports pitches and the Linford Christie Outdoor Sports Centre where the running track and all-weather sports pitches are situated. Parts of the Scrubs are a Local Nature Reserve and Site of Interest for Nature Conservation. It is treasured for its atmosphere of apartness by walkers, dog-walkers, bird and butterfly watchers, botanists and other nature lovers and valued by its sports users for the standard of its pitches. The Linford Christie Sports Centre is in active use by athletes, hockey players and youth footballers and baseball and softball players. The Pony Centre is a Riding for the Disabled Centre.
