Introduction

The Campaign to Protect Rural England, London branch (CPRE London) uses information collected from supporters and visitors to this website to improve the information we offer to you and to improve your online experience. We take your privacy very seriously. This privacy policy sets out details of the personal information we collect about you and the ways in which we may use that information.

When do we collect personal information?

We collect personal information from you when you complete a donation or contact form or when you attend our events.

What may your personal information be used for?

If you are a CPRE supporter, we may use the personal information to:

  • Inform you of our work and the different ways in which you can help
  • Ask you to support a specific CPRE activity
  • Telephone you to ask for your support

If you are a CPRE supporter or you provide us with personal information in the context of an event, we may use your personal information to:

  • Assess and develop future CPRE London events and activities
  • Inform you about other CPRE London events provided that you choose to receive this information

If you are a CPRE supporter, you may at any time change your mind about receiving information from us. If you initially chose to receive such information, and subsequently decide that you no longer wish to receive information about CPRE London, you can notify us by email: office@cprelondon.org.uk

If you have published a contact email on a website for a Park Friends Group in London then we will email you to ask if you would like to be part of the Big Green Map Project. In replying, you will be added to our database of published contacts in order to ask you if you would like to create a listing for your community group for GoParksLondon. You will be able to unsubscribe your contact from the list at any time.

Use of Cookies

A “cookie” is a piece of information, like a tag, which some websites create on your PC. Our cookies allocate each user of this website with a random number.

This procedure does not entail the collection of any personal information. Our cookies will not be used to analyse your visits to other websites or track any internet searches you may undertake whilst on this website.

What if I don’t want to accept cookies?

Your browser lets you choose whether to accept, not to accept or to be warned before accepting cookies. These settings can be found in the advanced preferences. In Internet Explorer select: Tools menu > Internet options> Security > Custom Level

Updating and amending your personal information

As a CPRE supporter, you have control over the accuracy of your personal information. If, at any time, you wish to verify, update or amend the personal information you have provided, please email: office@cprelondon.org.uk or write to us at CPRE London, 70 Cowcross St London EC1M 6EJ.

Third party sites

Our privacy policy does not apply to third party sites that you may access from this website. We recommend you familiarise yourself with the applicable privacy policy before entering any personal information on a third party site.

We have implemented security measures to ensure that your personal information is protected.

Changes to Privacy Policy

We recognise the importance of privacy to our supporters and visitors and intend to remain at the forefront of industry developments in this area. We will keep this policy under review and any changes made from time to time will be posted on this website.

If you have chosen to ‘opt-in’ to receiving communications from us, you give your consent to the collection, storage, processing and use of your personal information by us as described in this privacy policy.

How We Share Your Information

CPRE London is working in partnership with other organisations on the GoParksLondon campaign. These organisations are the London Friends of Green Spaces Network, Greenspace Information for Greater London CIC (GiGL), Revolution Consultancy & Design Limited, London Parks and Gardens Trust, City of London’s City Bridge Trust and National Park City Foundation. CPRE London will be responsible under GDPR regulations for contacts, data and information supplied for the purposes of this map.

Personally Identifiable Information

CPRE London is the Data Controller. It will not give, rent or sell your personally identifiable information to others. We may share your personally identifiable information with trusted third parties or project partners for the purpose of providing our services to you (for example, we use MailChimp to send out our communications). If we do this, such third parties’ use of your information will be bound by this Privacy Policy.

We may store personal information in locations outside the direct control of CPRE London (for instance, on servers or databases co-located with hosting providers such as Google Spreadsheets).

Except as otherwise described in this Privacy Policy, CPRE London will not disclose personal information to any third party unless required to do so by law or subpoena or if we believe that such action is necessary to (a) conform to the law, comply with legal process served on us or our affiliates, or investigate, prevent, or take action regarding suspected or actual illegal activities; (b) to enforce this policy, take precautions against liability, to investigate and defend ourselves against any third-party claims or allegations, to assist government enforcement agencies, or to protect the security or integrity of our site; and (c) to exercise or protect the rights, property, or personal safety of CPRE London, our users or others.

We will hold contact information for GoParksLondon only for the purposes of the project, i.e. the promotion of London parks and their Friends Groups, and to ask for updates for the park map listings and to assist with the effective management of the project, for example to ask for further information.

Contact information will be kept private, but other information provided by individuals describing and promoting parks will be collected and made available under a Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial 4.0 International Public CC-BY-NC license. Revolution Consultancy & Design Ltd are our third party supplier who will be a Data Processor and will be processing personal data. Greenspace Information for Greater London CIC will process information supplied by you about parks but will not hold nor access contact nor other personal information. https://www.gigl.org.uk/privacy-statement/
